In addition to the winning photograph, five runner-up prizes were awarded to the photographs with the highest number of votes.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Ebro Resilience Strategy<\/strong> once again invited its community to participate in the 2nd Edition of the Ebro Resilience Photo Contest<\/strong> which, coinciding with the celebration of World Water Day<\/strong>, was launched on March 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of this contest was  to highlight thevalue of the natural heritage associated with the Ebro River<\/strong>, without forgetting those actions or improvements related to flood risk management<\/strong> carried out in recent years in its surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these months we have been able to see through the lenses of the cameras of the participants very special corners. Monuments that were repeated, such as the unmistakable Cathedral-Basilica of El Pilar, in Zaragoza. Villages with a special charm, and many images of the environment associated with the Ebro River itself along its entire course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, several authors have wanted to share snapshots in which you could see river landscapes, wetlands, groves, mussels and other spaces associated with the Ebro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After many weeks of receiving photos, we already know the 6 winners of the different categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury examined the images received and selected the best ones.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ebro Resilience Strategy<\/strong> selected the photographs that best adapted to the theme of the contest: portraying different environments along the riverbed of the river<\/strong>and images that could summarize some of the lines of action of the company itself. Ebro Resilience Strategy<\/strong> or the LIFE Ebro Resilience P1 Project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury<\/strong>, made up of the coordinators of the five Working Groups<\/strong> established within the Ebro Resilience Strategy<\/strong>, was in charge of selecting those photographs that, in their opinion, deserved to be the winners of the contest. A job that has not been easy given the quality and diversity of the photographs received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among all the candidates, the most voted photograph, with the title “La Costa Rica Aragonesa”<\/strong>, was that of Laura Barrau Herrero, from Zaragoza. A nice picture taken on the Camino de Monzalbarba at the Ebro Sports Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, as on previous occasions, several runners-up prizes have been awarded to the images best valued by the jury. Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez has been awarded for “La Calma”,<\/strong> taken next to the Basilica of El Pilar on the river bank next to the Nautical Club and for “Caer del atardecer en La Alfranca”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sof\u00eda Nieto Salas presented an impressive image of the Ebro River leaving behind the mountains and widening to form its delta and the island of Gracia, near the municipality of Deltebre, entitled “Last stretch”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it could not be otherwise, the Basilica of El Pilar is the protagonist of another of the Accesit of the Ebro Resilience Photo Contest. Silvia Rodr\u00edguez Ruiz signs this panorama entitled “Zaragoza”<\/strong> which has captured an image of the Ebro as it passes by this well-known temple illuminated at sunset. And finally, “Life and Death”,<\/strong> by Laura Barrau Herrero. A photograph taken in the vicinity of the Club Nautico de Zaragoza that reflects how fauna and flora coexist with the action of man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
